European governing body setting club licensing standards, Financial Fair Play (FFP) requirements, and competition entry criteria for clubs participating in European tournaments.

CHCompanies House

UK government registrar of companies. All Welsh football clubs structured as limited companies must file annual accounts, confirmation statements, and notify changes in directors or significant control.

HMRCHM Revenue & Customs

Tax authority. Clubs must maintain PAYE compliance, VAT registration where applicable, and timely filing of corporation tax returns. HMRC winding-up petitions are a key risk factor for lower-league clubs.

CCCharity Commission for England and Wales

Regulates clubs structured as Community Interest Companies (CICs) or charitable trusts. Several Welsh clubs have community ownership structures requiring charity reporting.

Annual safeguarding audit. All clubs must demonstrate current DBS checks for relevant personnel and up-to-date safeguarding policies.

All clubs structured as limited companies must file their annual confirmation statement, confirming registered office, directors, and persons of significant control.

January Transfer Window Closes

Final deadline for mid-season player registrations. Emergency loan provisions may apply beyond this date with FAW approval.
